Playwrights at Work and at Play

It has been a sheer pleasure being in the writer's room with fellow playwrights, Linda Girón and Nia Fairweather. We are creating a new, investigative theater project called, 3GT Investigates: Birth Rights, for 3Girls Theatre Company, which will be presented as a work-in-progress at their 2018 New Works Festival. 

3GT’s newest project takes a contemporary, collaborative approach to fact-based drama, combining the art of theater with investigative journalism in order to create new narratives that explore the times in which we live. Specifically, we are exploring the reality of the current administration’s war on the reproductive rights of undocumented girls in our country. Our long-time partner, NARAL Pro-Choice California, then leads a panel discussion with activists in the field about what’s being done to counter the attacks.

And of course, we couldn't be all work and no play. We also enjoyed posing for moody, arty (okay, just poor quality) photos. 

3Girls Theatre Company's New Works Festival takes place July 27 through August 5th at Z-Below in San Francisco and will feature a variety of programs such as LezWrites, The Innovators Series, and Girlswright, alongside staged readings of the best plays from our 2017-2018 Salon Reading Series.
