Monday Night PlayGround: Holiday Extravaganza includes a short play I wrote about Antoniella Dell'Era, the first ballerina to dance the role in Tchaikovsky ballet. The Last Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairy takes place in 1945, the year of Antoniella's death and in San Francisco, the year The Nutcraker made its debut in America. It's the touching story of hope, regret,  healing, fantasy, and the ending of/returning to life.

The selected plays/playwrights for the Dec 19 Monday Night PlayGround “Holiday Extravaganza” are: Marie by Vanessa Flores, directed by Jessica Greenstreet, NUTCRACKED by Ruben Grijalva, directed by LeeAnn Dowd, SUGAR AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING MICE by Melissa Keith, directed by Kristin Cato, SOMETHING FOR THE KIDS by Sang Kim, directed by Jim Kleinmann, THE DANCE OF THE SUGAR PLUM FAIRIES by Jennifer Roberts, directed by Norman Gee, THE MOSTLY TRUE TALE OF THE HARD NUT by Lesli Zephyr, directed by Katja Rivera.
